I think of a document that collects and joins fragments from different periods of time. A history, a passage; joined, renewed, and informed in the present. The text on the bottom of print dates each image to when the original was made. The left section always represents a painting or drawing made previous to the right section; the right section being my primary manner of painting beginning in 1979.
